"영어회화 100일의 기적"이라는 책을 Day010까지 봤다. 작심삼일을 여러차례 반복한 결과 대략 한달만에 열흘치를 본 것이다. 이 책의 핵심은 하루 여섯 개 문장을 달달 외우는 것이다. 그냥 맥락없이 외우려니 쉽지가 않다. 여섯 개의 문장이 남녀가 주고 받는 대화라는 것을 오늘에야 깨달았다. 그래서 책에 남녀 구분을 표시해두니 조금 더 쉽게 외워졌다.

대화를 듣고 남녀를 파악하는 것도 귀찮은 분들을 위해 열흘치 남녀 구분을 공유한다. 남자가 M(male), 여자가 F(female)이다. 저작권 문제가 염려되므로 첫번째, 두번째 문장만 쓴다. 결코 타이핑하기 귀찮아서가 아니다. 사실 주고받는 대화이기 때문에 남녀 누가 먼저인지만 알면 된다.

   1. M: How did you get those plane tickets?
   2. F: I pulled some strings. I have good connections.
6. Look on the bright side
   1. M: Sorry to keep you wating. So where were we?
   2. F: We need to fix the date for the next meeting.
7. What do you mean?
   1. M: I'm calling to make reservation at seven.
   2. F: How many in your party, sir?
8. Can you give me a hand?
   1. F: Can you give me a hand with this?
   2. M: I'd love to, but I'm too busy.
9. Want to come along?
   1. M: I'm going camping this weeken. Want to come along?
   2. F: What not? Can I get you something?
